Text
Amazing grace! how sweet the sound
that sav'd a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
was blind, but now I see.
Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
and grace my fears reliev'd;
how precious did that grace appear
the hour I first believ'd!
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
and grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promis'd good to me;
his word my hope secures;
he will my shield and portion be
as long as life endures.

Ave verum corpus, natum ex Maria Virgine,
Vere passum, immolatum in cruce pro homine.
Cujus latus vero fluxit sanguine:
Esto nobis praegustatum, mortis in examine.
Hail, true body, born of the Virgin Mary. who truly
suffered and was sacrificed on the cross for mankind.
From whose pierced side flowed water and blood.
O mayʼst thou, dear Lord, be given at deathʼs hour to be my food:
by Pope Innocent VI (d. 1342)

Be thou with them, dear Lord and Father,
their lives and souls dost thou unite.
O how blest are they, thy children,
when in thy spirit, living, moving,
they grow in love before thy sight.
Notes
For thirty years Fauré held a series of positions connected with church music, culminating with the organ position of the Madeleine at the age of 51. At that time he became a professor of composition at the Paris Conservatory where he taught Ravel.

Text
[Word of God the most high, our sole hope,
eternal day of the earth and heavens
as we break the silence of the peaceful night
divine saviour, look down upon us.
Imbue us with the fire of thy great mercy
so that hell itself will flee at the sound of your voice
disperse the sleep which leads our languishing souls
to stray from the path of righteousness.
O Christ show your favour to your faithful people
who have come together to worship you
receive the praises that they offer up to your immortal glory
and may they come back laden with the gift of your grace.]
Words by Jean Racine
Music by Gabriel Fauré
The words are adapted from an old Gaelic rune
Deep peace of the running wave to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
Deep peace of the gentle night to you.
Moon and stars pour their healing light on you.
Deep peace of Christ
the light of the world to you.
Deep peace of Christ to you.

Text
God created us in his own image; in the image of God he created us;
male and female he created us. The love of man and woman is made holy in the sacrament of
Christian marriage, and becomes the mirror of the everlasting love of God, alleluia.
