Panis Angelicus fit panis hominum;
Dat panis coelicus figuris terminum:
O res mirabilis! manducat Dominum
Pauper, servus et humilis.
The bread of angels becomes the bread of men
and brings earthly forms to an end.
O marvellous act: a poor man, a slave and a humble man
all eat of the Lord.
